Dearest Denis, Raquel & Andre,
You have a really pretty cottage in a very peaceful & beautiful site. The birds creating a noise in the morning, the ducks having their afternoon tete-a-tetes by the shore, the breezes & winds, the elb & flow of the waves: there's so much activity and life here- a different wind of hustle and bustle that soothes the soul. It's true, you have really paid attention to detail- from the flask in the cupboard to the table and chairs in the garden, to the file with the list of activities, the book exchange, educating your guest about the wildlife around and living is a real-life, living, breathing cottage!! Probably one of the most memorable stays in my life and definitely the best way for us to end our roadtrip in Tasmania. We wish you all the best & What an awesome life you have here! and to whoever is reading this and staying here now, Great Choice! --, Sherim, Prurim, Jerum, Singapore

Thank you- so much for sharing this beautiful cottage with us. Wish we had more time to enjoy the peacefulness. We will take back lots of stories and experiences with us to share with our 6 children and our parents. This has really opened our eyes to how times have changed. Would love to come back with more time to find out about "The secret fishing spot". Thanks again for a wonderful night. Sam & Barry Halls-Geelong Victoria 3216

You have a tranquil and peaceful spot here. It was a very relaxing place to stay- waking up to the sounds of birds and nature is a nice change from cars and trucks! Congratulations on being so eco-friendly-as we don't suffer from the drought as badly as the mainland many accommodations here do not take the time to carefor our environment. Although you were not physically checking up on us. I felt that of we needed anything we could just ask, your notes around the cottage were helpful and the encouragement to enjoy our stay was genuine. Thank you so much Lauren gray (Burnie, Tas) Nicholas Charlton&Jason Mumford (Mt Tambarine,QLD)

So much more than just a great location. We've been travelling ( and exploring) Tassie on a tight budget. With an advanced booking at such a low price we really weren't expecting alot but were so pleasantly surprised by the originality of this rough diamond. Having stayed in many "sterile" accommodations during our travels, Denis's Cottage has re-awakened our faith in original home style accommodation. So very unique, the name says it all... Firstly our appreciation for such an inviting, warm, fire after
our 6 hours trip from the West Coast of Tasmania.
We were blown away by the fact you had thought of so many small details
to welcome us to your cottage and home.
From the Congratulatory bottle of wine, fresh picked garden flowers,
lavender sprigs on the pillows and a view to die for ….we simply
couldn’t ask for more…
But there was….the advice on what to see, directions, and information
packages in the Cottage folder.
Breakfast was a treat with the fresh laid eggs we purchase from Denis
,the Wildlife in the area was great , we were practically greeted
at the door one night by a Wallaby , a little spooky after a Ghost
tour ,but very beautiful ; in our short 3 days stay we saw ,; Wallabies
, possums, echidnas, a huge variety of birds and a potoroo.
Not having a TV was great as it inspired us to fill in our time otherwise
by sightseeing.
Quietly tucked away, your cottage oozes a fantastic ambience, the
sunsets are blissful and we didn’t even mind the little rain
we had.
To get such fresh oysters and have all the cooking facilities made
it nice to have a quiet one indoors.
And your hospitality didn’t stop there. We were warmly greeted
at Port Arthur by Raquel, your wife, who was more then happy to help
us with all our inquiries.
We did however encounter one big difficulty, and that was leaving ….
Warmest regards,
Brett, Daniela (Zeehan TAS).
